Moving...Again...

I've moved. Again. It'll be the 9th time in the past 9 years. After working a 9 hour shift in a group home on Saturday, I got up at 8:15 this Sunday morning and didn't finish moving until 9 pm. What a weekend! And that was a lot of 9's in one paragraph.

I missed out on The Big E with my mother and little sister, but I did get moving help from some awesome peeps. I am now situated in a house with my love, and I am surrounded by stuff. Now comes the unpacking, sorting, and shelving. When is there time for art?!?!

I can't wait to have a tag sale in the spring. Simplify, simplify, simplify...

Circumstances

"People are always blaming their circumstances for being what they are. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make them."

Blog, Part Deux

This morning I went to open my beloved blog at verafox.blogspot.com, to find that it was missing. Upon further searching, I came to the realization that when I deleted an old google account in favor of the newer one I use, I had unwittingly deleted my blogger account, also.

Barb. Stung. Crumpled and crying in a hopeless heap before my computer.

Google will let you know, however, that you may recover the text of your blogs in cached pages via their search engine, but not the format, and not the photos. Not the blog.

I am going to roll with this punch, I've decided. Lucky thing about living is that you have some part in the choosing of when the chapters of your story begin and end. I suppose, with my new move and my new job, and my new outlook on life, that this is somehow fitting. A new blog. Why not? As much as I dislike Google and Blogger at this moment, I am back. Hold onto your hats, ladies and gents (and those who do not prescribe to either gender). There's a wind blowing.
